How You Can Help

We Can All Help

Originally part of the post from Wednesday, December 3, 2014

The current needs of Proyecto de Vida are many and the “wish list” is long.  Day-to-day expenses include salaries, education, health care, food, and other operating expenses, but further construction is also needed.  The girls’ dormitory is too small and needs to be expanded so that more girls can be given a home, and this will cost around $80,000.  More closet and desk space is needed, especially for the growing number of adolescents.  The kitchen needs more space for a second refrigerator and pantry.  The plumbing needs to be upgraded; in fact, a whole new water system is required as the well water is no longer sufficient for the needs of so many children.  In addition, a high priority has been placed on acquiring solar panels in order to make Proyecto de Vida more sustainable.
